Food was always more than a meal.

From an early age, Valérie associated food with family, celebration, memory and love. She grew up surrounded by women who cooked with care — her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother — and many of her strongest family memories were created around the table.

That connection between cooking and emotion stayed with her. Good food was never simply something to eat; it was a way to bring people together and make them feel cared for.

Valérie comes from a five-star hospitality background, where excellence is created through details: the welcome, the atmosphere, the storytelling and the feeling a guest takes away.

Motherhood added another dimension. For Valérie, cooking is also a way for children to build confidence, independence, patience and pride in what they create. That belief is why younger guests have a genuine place within the The French Cooking Experience experience.
